Let's celebrate! Yes, a wedding website titled, “Lena and Alex” is naturally focused on the husband and wife to-be, but October 24, 2026 is also about celebrating all of you and the important roles you play in our lives. So what better way to achieve this than by bringing together friends and family scattered across North America, South America, and Europe for a long weekend on an island in the Mediterranean? Alex is a proud "West Coaster” from Seattle and Lena is an avowed “Kölsche Mädchen” from Germany, so this was always bound to be a destination wedding in some form or fashion:) We think we picked a pretty great destination in Spain!

We hope you can make the journey to Mallorca for the wedding ceremony's "I do's” and the island's many "must-do’s” - from biking and hiking to beach napping and wine tasting. Hopefully this website helps give you an idea of everything to look forward to.

Enjoy the morning as you please and explore the surrounding areas. Some recommendations are a beach visit, the Saturday market in Santanyí, lunch at the beautiful restaurant Es Cellar in Petra or a a stroll through the old town of Artà.

Fun fact: Daylight Saving Time ends the night of our wedding, gifting us an extra hour to dance and sleep in.

We recommend staying in close proximity to the wedding venue during the wedding weekend. When searching, try Petra or Vilafranca de Bonany. Here are a few recommendations:

Frequently Asked Questions

The dress code for the wedding day is semi-formal / cocktail: think suits for men (ties are welcome but not required), and cocktail dresses, midi dresses, or pantsuits for women.
One practical note: our ceremony will be held in the garden, so we'd recommend block heels, wedges, or flats over stilettos to avoid getting stuck in the grass.
October in Mallorca is beautifully mild, but evenings can get cool. We recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap so you can stay warm and keep dancing as the night goes on.
As the wedding venue is about 30 minutes from Palma and not directly accessible with public transportation, we recommend renting a car at PMI airport. In the shoulder season, the prices tend to be very reasonable as the island has such a surplus of rental cars for the busy summer months.

If you are unable or hesitant to rent a car, please reach out to us and we will find a solution.
Your presence is present enough, especially for a destination wedding! We know how much time, money, and effort it takes to travel to our wedding, and the fact that you're making that journey means everything to us.

The wedding venue is a functioning hotel that includes a restaurant. Feel free to drop in for breakfast at 18 EUR/person for the breakfast buffet, open from 8-10:30 am.
The wedding venue has a nice restaurant that offers a lunch menu from 1:00-3:30 pm as well as a dinner menu from 7:00-10pm (closed on Tuesdays).
Other than that we recommend Es Celler de Petra and Can Salom Restaurant in the nearby town Petra.
